Mozart 36

Mozart 36 follows Mozart’s journey as a young composer from age 8 with the first of his Sonatas for piano and violin to the last in 1788, when he was living at the centre of the Viennese musical world as the city’s finest keyboard player and a hugely successful composer.

Join TTK Homegrown Series artists Shuxiang Yang and Cherie Khor, as well as a curated line-up of students from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, as TTK Grand Series continues on this one and a half year journey through the complete 36 Sonatas for piano and violin by Mozart, and a selection of his iconic chamber works and concerti.

Make your fanciful choice between two 1-hour bite-size walks through Mozart’s music on this light-hearted evening, featuring many of his rarely heard childhood Sonatas, as well as his Serenade in E-flat major for 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons & 2 horns ~ composed shortly after his decisive and defiant move to Vienna from Salzburg.
